Project Manager (Engineering & Construction) - Johannesburg/Cape Town OfficeMain Responsibilities:Manage complex, multi-disciplinary building projects from inception to completion, leading diverse technical teamsExecute building projects successfully by meeting stakeholder expectations, maintaining commercial excellence, achieving quality outputs and driving team cohesion and satisfaction.Execute cross border building projects & manage cross border teams.Budgetary and financial responsibility for building projects.Project tendering and preparation.Project resource management, including management of project resources over multiple locations.Client relationship management during project execution.Business development and client liaison at project level.Growing market position within existing client groups through quality project execution.Growing and managing new and existing client relationships through quality project execution.Engage clients, determining their needs, qualify opportunities, developing custom solutions and compiling proposal documents.Negotiating and concluding new assignments with Clients.Developing, reviewing and executing project contract documents.Contribute to strategic growth of the Data Centre AG PM Team.Contribute to the skills development of the PM Team in wider South Africa.Other project and operational support as required.Minimum qualifications, skills and experience:Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering/Project Management Degree.Post Graduate Project Management Qualification is beneficial.A minimum of 3 – 8+ years post graduate experience managing multi-disciplinary building projects as a consultant and preferably in the private sector:0 - 3yrs Junior4 - 7yrs Mid-level8yrs+ SeniorProfessional registration with a relevant body required (SACPCMP / PMI / ECSA) required for mid-level / senior positions.Demonstrable experience on multidisciplinary design coordination, preferably on data centre / industrial building projects.Fundamental knowledge and experience in greenfield and brownfield data centre / industrial building projects.Good understanding of industry practices, trends, processes and standards as well as their impact on project activities.Ability to liaise with relevant stakeholders on all levels and through-out the life cycle of the project.Commercial/design/project management competencies/experience, comfortable with playing central role in both project acquisition, design and execution, with excellent communication skills.Practical management experience having led a project team.Competent report writing skills and excellent communication ability.Computer literacy in MS Office and Project, Common Data Environments & other platforms at an advanced level i.e. ACC, ASITE, Revizto, etc.Consulting background/knowledge/skills.Behavioral competencies:An energetic and enthusiastic team-player who is prepared to work across business units in the company.Commercially astute with a strong marketing, growth and profit orientation.Results orientated and target driven.Ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle pressure.Excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills.Client centric approach.In line with our Employment Equity policy, preference will be given to applicants from designated groups and suitable internal candidates.
