The ideal candidate will have experience working with drill rigs both above and below ground and will be responsible for managing diverse projects, engaging with clients, and providing hands-on technical expertise. This position offers a blend of technical, managerial, and business development responsibilities, with opportunities to work with cutting-edge technologies in mining operations.Key Responsibilities:Project Management:Oversee project lifecycles from tendering, planning, and execution.Coordinate and manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure successful project completion.Client Liaison:Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients at boardroom level within the mining industry.Present project plans, progress reports, and solutions to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.Instrumentation Technician:Provide hands-on support for instrumentation and control systems used on drill rigs (both surface and underground).Troubleshoot and maintain computer hardware and software systems related to digital mapping, drilling, blasting, and fleet management analysis.Operate and maintain GPS survey equipment and other relevant technologies.Technical Expertise:Read and interpret schematic drawings (electrical and hydraulic).Install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation systems, ensuring accurate and reliable data collection.Operations Management:Manage a team of technical staff and oversee day-to-day operations at various project sites.Report regularly to the head office on project progress, challenges, and opportunities.Business Development:Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the mining sector.Develop strategies for expanding the company's service offerings to existing and potential clients.Qualifications and Skills:Experience:Proven experience with drill rigs (surface and underground) is highly preferred.Strong background in project management, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Experience working with GPS survey equipment, digital mapping, drilling systems, and fleet management software.Technical Skills:Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and hydraulic schematics.Solid understanding of instrumentation and control systems used in the mining industry.Hands-on experience with computer hardware, software systems, and GPS technology.Management & Communication:Strong leadership and team management skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.Travel:Willingness to travel frequently, including to remote mining sites, to oversee project activities and provide technical support.Preferred Qualifications:Degree or diploma in Engineering, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field.Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.Experience with fleet management analysis and digital systems related to mining operations.What We Offer:Competitive salaryOpportunity to work on high-impact, global mining projects.Diverse and dynamic work environment, with opportunities for growth and advancement.Hands-on experience with the latest technologies in mining instrumentation and project management.Please note due to the diverse requirements for this position we may not be able to reply to all responders,If a reply has not been received within 24 working hours your application is unfortunately not successful
