This role will help position WaterAid as thought leaders and the go-to organisation for water, sanitation and hygiene.Team DescriptionThe Brand team works in partnership with colleagues in the UK and offices around the world providing advice and expertise on multiple campaigns with national and global reach. The team builds our brand personality and positioning, develops and protects our brand identity and crucially, drives greater awareness of WaterAid and the work we do.The Brand Team consists of two roles and sits within the newly formed Brand and Strategic Communications Team which is part of the Communications & Fundraising Directorate.RequirementsProven brand marketing experience, with an understanding of the full marketing mix.Demonstrable experience in raising awareness of a global brand.Experience of internally promoting a brand to build brand love and inspire staff to be enthusiastic brand ambassadors.Strong experience in working proactively with internal stakeholders - able to negotiate, challenge and influence effectively at all levels and across multiple disciplines.Excellent networking skills with the ability to spot (internal and external) opportunities to promote and leverage the brand through fundraising activities and partnerships.Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to drive integration and alignment.Experience of working closely with creative content teams (editors, designers, film producers, photographers) to embed a brand - able to critique and develop creative work effectively, with a good eye for design and photography.Experience of successfully developing, promoting and implementing brand guidelines (visual and verbal) across all channels (digital and print) in an organisation.Ability to proactively stay up to date with the latest trends and best practice, continually embedding in our work.Excellent copywriting and editing skills; able to communicate compelling messages to a broad range of audiences.Experience of managing complex projects, suppliers (including printers and translators) and budgets. With an organised, solution-focused approach to meeting deadlines on competing priorities.Experience of using audience insight and impact measurement to evidence and plan.Relevant graduate level qualification or equivalent work experience.Working style that reflects WaterAid's values of Respect, Accountability, Courage, Collaboration, Integrity and Innovation.BenefitsGreat pay and benefits.
