Description: The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing projects within the Numata business model framework for project management services across all relevant functions and services (internal to the business and client facing) as per requirements, scope and performance expectations.
Projects need to be completed on time, within budget, and meet identified quality standards.
In addition, the project manager is responsible to manage project resources, realising defined benefits and managing risk to acceptable levels across the project and systems development lifecycle in delivery to project management services expectations.
More specifically the project manager must: Manage and maintain a standard approach for projects, programmes and portfolios (methodologies, methods and tools).
Initiate the project / programme following standard single service and client portfolio view approach.
Manage stakeholder engagement (requirements, dependencies, interdependences, roles and responsibilities, ownership, sponsorship and escalation) using identified engagement processes and structures.
Plan the project / programme with relevant stakeholders (including charter).
Develop and maintain the project / programme plan including changes.
Launch and execute the project / programme.
Monitor, control and project and programme outcomes.
Manage the project / programme quality requirements.
Manage the project / programme risk.
Monitor and control project / programme performance and associated reporting.
Manage project / programme resources.
Manage project / programme gates and controls including documentation.
Manage project / programme change.
Close project / programme and document / review learnings.
Manage project / programme reporting, documents and records in central repository.
Skills Recommendation Communication and engagement Organising, planning and administration Problem-solving Delegation Leadership qualities, i.e.
motivation techniques and conflict-management Computer literacy and project management software Time management Resource management across functions and services Knowledge of project management processes, such as Scrum and Agile Qualifications and certification as an advantage: A tertiary degree or comparative (qualifications) completed or in progress.
Sufficient knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, frameworks and tools such as: PMBOK, Agile, Scrum and Prince2, CMMI or Six Sigma frameworks and methodologies.
Project management training / certification (or in progress) as mentioned above at an accredited institution of choice will be an advantage e.g., Project management professional (Project Management Institute) or comparative.
Project management Experience 1 to 5 years advisable, based on the scope, number and complexity of projects
