Johannesburg, South Africa | Posted on 01/05/2024 MAC Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee Business as Usual (BAU) and drive operational excellence initiatives across our diverse range of mining activities.As the Business as Usual (BAU) and Operational Excellence Project Manager, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of day-to-day operations. You will take charge of projects aimed at enhancing operational excellence, optimizing processes, and promoting continuous improvement.Responsibilities:Oversee and manage daily operations to ensure they align with company objectives and industry standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain seamless BAU activities, including production, logistics, and supply chain operations.Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.Lead projects focused on operational excellence, cost reduction, and quality improvement.Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational activities.Generate regular reports for management, highlighting areas of success and recommending improvements.Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of operations.Implement best practices to minimize operational risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production teams, maintenance, safety, and environmental departments, to align BAU activities with organizational goals.Foster effective communication channels to address concerns and drive a culture of continuous improvement.RequirementsProven experience in project management, preferably in the mining industry.Strong understanding of BAU operations and operational excellence principles.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and leadership abilities.
