Job Overview: The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects while managing teams and ensuring project goals and objectives are met within the scope, time, and budget.
This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, identifying project risks, and implementing strategies to ensure successful project completion.
The Project Manager will play a crucial role in driving the company's strategic initiatives and ensuring the efficient delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities: Project Planning and Initiation: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to ensure project viability.
Project Execution: Lead and manage project teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
Monitor project progress, track performance against project plans, and make necessary adjustments.
Coordinate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular project updates and addressing concerns.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and ensure alignment on project objectives and expectations.
Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of services.
Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Implement contingency plans to address unexpected issues and minimise impact on project outcomes.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
Conduct regular quality checks and audits to maintain high standards of project execution.
Implement best practices and continuous improvement processes to enhance project outcomes.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure financial accountability.
Provide regular budget reports and financial forecasts to senior management.
Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and coach project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Identify training and development needs for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Project Closure: Conduct project evaluations and post-project reviews to identify lessons learned.
Ensure all project documentation is complete and archived appropriately.
Facilitate project handover to operational teams and ensure smooth transition.
Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Relevant Experience: For a Junior Project Manager: Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
For a Senior Project Manager: Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Experience in managing projects in relevant industries (IT, construction, healthcare, etc.)
is a nice to have.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
Proficiency in project management software and tools (MS Project, JIRA, Asana, etc.).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
