Project Manager

My client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £13m mixed-use development in East London. This project comprises 38 residential units and a ground-floor commercial space, designed to enhance the local community and contribute to the area's ongoing regeneration.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:Project Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end management of the development, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, local authorities, and community groups, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.Budget and Cost Control: Monitor and manage the project budget, ensuring all financial objectives are met and value for money is achieved across all aspects of the development.Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the smooth progression of the project, minimizing disruptions and delays.Quality Assurance: Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and the project's quality requirements.Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors, fostering a collaborative working environment.Reporting: Prepare regular progress reports for senior management and stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates on the project's status, challenges, and successes.Candidate RequirementsQualifications and Experience:Proven experience managing large-scale residential or mixed-use developments, ideally in urban environments.Strong knowledge of UK construction regulations and standards.Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.Experience working with local authorities and navigating planning permissions in London is a plus.Relevant degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS) are desirable.
