VACANCYPROJECT MANAGER (CAPE TOWN)INTRODUCTION AND ROLE CONTEXTThe HVAC Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of projects through its various stages that will include the design, facilitation, estimation, project implementation, client liaison, commissioning and close-out.Role ResponsibilityFull project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to deployment for one major or several minor initiatives simultaneously.Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test and deployment management activities.Develop and manage all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues.Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across leadershipPrepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project Produce month-end profit claimsApproval of Purchase Orders/Requisitions to vendorsApproval of vendor invoicesPrepare estimatesProcess ManagementRelationship and Communication ManagementService and DeliveryRequired Qualification and experienceRelevant Engineering Qualification in Technical Field, e.g. Mechanical.5 -10 Years Experience in HVAC Service Industry (advantageous)5 Years demonstrable Project Management experienceKnowledgeProven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needsProject Management methodologiesExperience negotiating vendor contractsExperience drafting and submitting budget proposals and recommending subsequent budget changes where necessaryExperience in successfully leading projects and programs to on-time, on-schedule and within budget closeExperience leading, motivating and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performanceFlexible with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesIndustry specific software for load estimating, duct estimating and CADUnderstands complex technical air-conditioning concepts.Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one recognised brand of air-conditioning system.Compulsory CriteriaMust reside in Cape Town and be available immediatelyMeet minimum experience and qualifications above.DisclaimerCandidates who meet the requirements above may submit an updated copy of your CV by no later than 15 August 2024.
