The Meetinghouse Facilities Department (MFD) assists individuals and families qualify for exaltation by helping members live the gospel of Jesus Christ. To do this, MFD makes essential gospel teachings, resources, and services accessible to all in a simple and affordable way. Furthermore, MFD provides dignified places of worship and helps strengthen all areas toward self-reliance. The incumbent in this position assists the Project Managers to ensure timely delivery of design and construction projects using established processes and standards and provides administrative support to the Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Division.



Responsibilities:

Intern for the AEC Division team which includes the Area Architect, Project Managers and the Area AEC Manager.
Manage subcontractor selection, onboarding, performance monitoring, and payment processing. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and maintain positive subcontractor relationships.
As a Project Management intern, you will assist in tracking and managing project budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost-effective implementation.
Prepare and submit required documents to local councils, ensuring compliance with regulations and tracking the application process.
Help create and update project timelines, track progress, and communicate project status to your manager. You will also assist in developing contingency plans to address challenges.
Establish cost estimates by preparing detailed cost estimates for project components by gathering data, evaluating options, and providing estimates to stakeholders.
The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full attention to detail. Independence in working, tact, and diplomacy are required. Sound judgment of Church doctrine, history, organization, policy and protocol are also expected.




Minimum Requirements:

Must hold a current/valid Temple recommend and/or be worthy to possess one.
Project Management Qualification preferred; bachelor's degree will be advantageous.
Must be a Young Adult between 18-to 35-years of age.
Skills set required: problem solving, analytical, reliable, and humble:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Proactive and self-motivated with a keen attention to detail.
Basic understanding of Project Management principles and practices.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
