What are we looking for? We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and/or skillsets:
Diploma / Degree in Education or Sports Management, or a Related Field
Diploma in Project management qualification
Training and facilitation qualifications
Knowledge of educational technologies
Driver's License
Police clearance
2 – 3 years in education, sports management, or a related field
Minecraft (Education, Java, Bedrock) knowledge and skills for esports, teaching and learning
Training and facilitation experience
Advantageous
Game-based learning experience
Project coordination experience
Esports tournament management experience
Passion for Esports and Education
Stream and broadcast basic knowledge and platform use
Experience in Esports and/or school esports programme management
The responsibilities are:
Project manager support
Support the Esports Project Lead in executing the Curro Esports programme.
Maintain and ensure the smooth operation of daily activities and resources needed for programme implementation.
Project management
Manage projects assigned by the project manager and ensure the project is delivered within scope, on time and within budget.
Collaborate with the project manager to ensure effective planning, execution, and evaluation of esports events and training sessions.
Brand and corporate identity managed
Ensure the correct use of CI (Corporate Identity) across all deliverables as per guidelines issued from the project manager.
Review and manage a consistent approach throughout all tasks and deliverables.
Be a brand ambassador.
Ensure correct and relevant information is used.
Reporting
Track and maintain data requirements based on projects or as required.
Provide regular data reports to the project manager as per agreed timelines.
Integration with Curro and Esports objectives
Ensure the implementation of stakeholder relations elements are aligned to the approved executive plan as assigned by the client relationship manager and/or executive.
Collaborate with the project manager to ensure that esports initiatives support learner retention, recruitment, and programme growth.
Tournament administration and training
Oversee tournament setup, administration, and execution.
Oversee participant management, score consolidations, and adherence to rules and regulations.
Coordinate the planning, logistics, and operational support for Esports events.
Ensure all technical and non-technical aspects are in place for successful events.
Assist in the planning and logistics of training sessions for coaches.
Provide support in developing training materials and resources.
Stakeholder relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with coaches, participants, and stakeholders.
Facilitate effective communication and coordination among involved parties.
Proactive and professional.
Assist and guide effective and improved processes.
The successful candidate will start on 01 January 2025.
