Project Engineer (Renewable Energy) - Johannesburg

Job DescriptionResponsible for overall planning of the project's electrical design activities.Manage External Engineering services contracts and EPC contracts.Perform risk assessment of the project and manage mitigation actions.Manage tender of suppliers and subcontractors, electrical budget, and quality processes.Conduct site visits, prepare client reports, and interface with clients.Manage Grid Code/ RETEC processes and ESKOM interfacing.QualificationsBEng/BSc Electrical Engineering or similar.Skills3+ years' experience in renewable industry, solar or wind.Basic knowledge of renewable market operation and utility scale renewable projects in South Africa.Basic knowledge of South African grid connection process and Development Approval process.Experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems and grid connection management is a plus.Experience in business case comparison, legal framework of renewable energy projects, and technology standards.Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) is a plus.
