Experience
The successful incumbent must possess at least two (2) to five (5) years experience in coordinating and understanding different engineering disciplines and project management.
Formal Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or civil) or related field is preferred.
High proficiency in Microsoft Projects.
Certifications in project management or related areas will be an added advantage.
Fluent in English.
Valid driving license code 08.
Own transport.
Special Conditions
Relocation to Klerksdorp is essential. The successful incumbent must be willing to travel and to work outside of South African borders for prolonged periods of time. The successful incumbent should have a valid passport.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, goals, deliverables, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned and progressing smoothly.
Provide engineering expertise and technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain thorough documentation of project activities, including plans, designs, reports, and updates.
Identify potential risks and develop strategies to ensure project success.
Ensure all project activities meet or exceed industry standards, regulations, and company quality guidelines.
Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.
Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects.
Monitor compliance with applicable codes, practices, quality related policies, performance standards, and specifications.
Daily interaction with clients to determine, interpret and implement their needs and requirements and represent them in the field.
Taking control of entire project (budget, schedule, plans, staff performance, financial status) and provide regular reports to relevant stakeholders.
Assign responsibilities to team members.
Coaching and mentoring the team members.
Review deliverables and initiate corrective action if need be.
Inherent Requirements for the Position
High proficiency in MS Projects.
Proficiency in project administration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information.
Technical writing skills for project documentation, reports, and proposals.
Foundational knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
Experience in coordinating and understanding different engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals and milestones.
