Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage end-to-end engineering projects in the mineral processing sector, from feasibility through to commissioning.Develop and review detailed engineering designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring timely project delivery.Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for project challenges.Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, operations, R&D) and external stakeholders (clients, vendors, contractors) to ensure successful project outcomes.Provide technical expertise on mineral processing systems, equipment, and processes, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.Manage project documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and regulatory submissions.Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering (or related field). A Masters Degree or professional engineering certification (PEng, PMP) is an asset.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project engineering, with a strong focus on mineral processing or heavy industrial projects.Proven track record of leading large-scale engineering projects, ideally within mining, refining, or mineral processing plants.Strong understanding of mineral processing technologies, systems design, and operational processes.Excellent project management skills, with experience in budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory frameworks related to mineral processing and safety.Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and liaise with diverse stakeholders.Apply now!
