Project Engineer

Requirements:BSc Mechanical or Mechatronics degreeHave at least 2 - 5 year's working experience in a related roleProject Management Diploma would be advantageousHave at least 2 - 3 years Project Management experience would be advantageousCompetency in 3D – CAD design (Autocad, Inventor, Solidworks)An ability to communicate at all levelsBe familiar with ISO proceduresAn ability to communicate effectively at all levelsAn ability to negotiate effectivelyA strong ability to think logically and rationallyBe highly computer literate especially excel skillsBe assertive and forthrightBe enthusiastic, positive and self-energizedA strong financial and commercial aptitudeExcellent problem-solving skillsExcellent numeracy skillsAn ability to work effectively in teamResponsibilities:Overseeing installations of various new multi-million-rand machines and technologyOverseeing assigned Engineering and technical projectsEnsuring customer satisfaction with respect to all Engineering projectsOverseeing machine and automation design projectsDeveloping and implementing project schedules and forecastsCoordinating and checking of engineering deliverablesReporting monthly on project status and change ordersPlanning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projectsAssisting in the preparation of engineering project and machine acquisition proposalsAssisting in the coordination of pricing, estimating, scoping strategies for proposed projects and in the development and preparation of technical specificationsAssisting in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for projectImplementing successful engineering and automation projectsCommunicating extensively with assigned project Clients, external customers and suppliers, both overseas and localInvolved in new product development and prototyping.This position is open to all individuals who meet the relevant minimum criteria.
