PURPOSE OF ROLE - To support the Technical Manager in this fast-paced, FMCG related, continuous production plant with PROJECTS, PLANT TRIALS and MACHINE ASSESSMENTS AND STANDARDS.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Engineering Projects
Understand the projectrequirement and Developing specifications for the required equipment.
Interactionwith engineering at the international headoffice and other vendors of equipment – to get quotes and select appropriate equipment.
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of assigned engineering projects.
Commissioningof the new machines. To capture all barriers identified on commissioning and drive to completion.
TrainingOperators and operating teams.
Ensureproject/s compliance with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards and specifications. Change management process and updating of project plans.
Develop/Update risk assessment on new/modified production line (control risk assessment scheduler).
Filingand document management as required by BRC standards.
Cooperatingand communicating with Technical Manager and other project participants and collaborating with maintenance to create more efficient project methods.

Plant Trials
Conducting factory trials and report - New products, materials
Technical report,Custodian of trial process.

Machine Assessments
Execute Machine assessments working with the Engineering, Maintenance and Operations teams.
Updatetooling list for machines
Capturemachine assessment reports and action items.

Management of Engineering drawing standard (item no, filing, description)
External Contractor management
Manage building and site maintenance
