PURPOSE OF ROLE Lesedi Industrial division has an ongoing and active initiative to identify and develop business opportunities in its chosen market segments and in keeping with strategic objectives. The purpose of the Project Development Analyst is to support the managing executive and senior managers in their business and project development efforts by conducting market research, performing opportunity analyses and providing administrative assistance. The person in this role will also liaise with and assist the Lesedi Proposals Department where necessary, specifically to ensure that proposals, quotations and tenders from the Industrial division are properly coordinated. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Conduct research in and business analysis of the Divisions chosen market segments and key clients, identify opportunities and build intelligence networks; Provide analytical and administrative support for the recording, evaluation and prioritisation of opportunities and the monitoring of business development actions; Liaise with the Proposals Department and assist with preparation of client clarifications, proposals, quotations and tenders. QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE An appropriate technical qualification, eg tertiary qualification in an engineering, technical and/or business management discipline; Two to four years relevant experience, preferably in a technical or engineering capacity; Experience in the compilation and co-ordination of tenders/proposals/quotations will be advantageous; Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project and the use of internet search tools.
