Work Description The Project Manager is a member of a Project Management Team responsible for administering, organizing, and coordinating the HIV Prevention Project ensuring that the objectives are met and keeping the Project organized and running smoothly.
Technical Work Responsibilities The incumbent is assigned all or part of the following responsibilities that are performed according to the needs and agenda: The Project Coordinator will be the project lead at the site level of implementation of the Key Populations programme. S/He must have an in-depth understanding of the clinical management of KP clients presenting with Tuberculosis (TB), HIV, and STI as well as experience in health care systems in resource-limited settings for public health delivery. He/ She will proactively support all capacity building activities/ workshops for Key Populations implementing site to enhance the effective implementation of planned activities needed to reach the 95-95-95 goals. Work closely with and supervise project staff at implementation sites and ensure the strategic and functional integration of all technical areas needed for smooth implementation. Ensure timely and quality completion of all programmes technical deliverables at sites and report following project guidelines Support the M&E Manager in monitoring and evaluation and provision of technical assistance to implementing sites. Provide RTQII training to all district teams, manage and report on it. Provide clinical mentoring to clinicians on site. Collate reports from all projects and submits them to the senior programme manager. Identifying potential problems or challenges within a project and ensuring corrective action concerning problems and challenges within the programme. Supervise quality control measures to ensure adherence to established guidelines. Participate in proactive Team efforts to achieve Departmental and Company goals. Adheres to all management SOPs, Guidelines, and Confidential Agreements Mentoring and coaching of Subordinates. Report all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human Resources Adhere to and maintain decision-making authority as allocated to the position.
Requirements Education Bachelor's degree from a four-year College/University or equivalent - Nursing, Medicine or related field Certificate in Project Management Public Health Post-Grad qualification
Advantageous Registration with the SANC/HPCSA/Similar Certificate in Management
Experience 2 years' experience in working with TB/HIV/STI Projects Experience in Key Populations At least 2 years' experience in Project Management Experience in analyzing Data, leading and managing staff, planning, and reporting on the recruitment of KP and ART retention, and overseeing daily activities, petty cash, procurement, and fleet. Minimum Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in Development Program co-ordination, Civil Society, or related Public Health Project Management Technical experience in HIV clinical management
Requirements Occasional overnight travel (up to 20%) by land or air if required. Advanced knowledge of HIV, TB, STI, Key Populations Management Own Car Valid Driver's license Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, and graphics. Efficient in Microsoft Office Willing to work overtime
