Key Performance Output The successful candidates will be reporting to the Manager Maintenance Engineering and will be responsible but not limited to the following: Compilation of tender documentation. Advertise and evaluate tenders, compile a recommendation for the tender board and appoint vendor. Develop project charter and detailed scope of work. Facilitate, monitor and validate contract process. Audit payment schedule, assess and validate claims. Report on progress and costs against objectives in project meetings. Provide relevant documentation and responses to audit queries. Manage projects in accordance with PMBok methodology. Obtain project completion certificates and ensure all required project close out documents are completed Manage external consultants or project resources. Manage contract performance Track the progress and quality of work being performed by design disciplines/trades. Attend client meetings and assist with determination of project requirements. Assist the Project Manager in drafting and issuing of project proposals, RFP's, tenders, budgets, cash flow and preliminary schedules. Plan, schedule and coordinate project team activities with regards to processes or services, to achieve efficiency. Ensure adherence to quality management and production standards within the production environment. Communicate relevant project information effectively and accurately to the Provide specialised technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives. Provide input into annual budget planning process and submit to line management for approval. Remain up to date with macro and micro-economic conditions, legislation, competition, market sentiment and the industry in general. Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of organisational standards, policies and procedures within span of control and monitor implementation to ensure full compliance. Adhere to and ensure adherence to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures. Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
Technical Skills and Experience The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: Diploma in Project Management or Relevant Qualification. 2 years operational experience in Built Environment (Multiple Systems). 1 year in Project Management. Registered with South African Construction Projects Management Profession (SACPMP). Registered with Project Management Profession (PMP) Member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) Project Management Skills MS Office Code 8 Driver's license Understanding of Construction Contracts Understanding of applicable legislations, policies and procedures.
