Description You as a Project Controller will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. You will be part of Power Grids; Grid Automation, reporting to the operating unit Controller and responsible for ensuring maintenance and completeness of project files for projects, with effective communication and project review meetings ensuring governance and compliance with regulatory requirements.Your responsibilitiesEnsuring compliance with SOX procedures and involvement in the handover of new projects from proposals to operations for project controlling for PS module contracts >1MZAR (run by Project Manager).Ensuring regular informal contact with project managers to discuss the status of their jobs and conducting formal monthly project reviews.Reviewing hours booked to contracts and recoveries to cost centers to ensure their accuracy, generating missing timesheet reports, and assisting SBU managers with the generation of employee hours utilization data. Applying for Bonds and Guarantees, and maintaining Guarantee registers.Ensuring maintenance of complete contract files and ensuring that invoicing is done accurately and timely on all contracts.Pre-approving applications for forward cover, performing foreign exchange and CPA calculations, and assisting with debtor-related queries.Monitoring sales order integrity for correct data parameters e.g., order type, distribution channel, salesman, etc.Ensuring the monthly update of planned costs and estimates to complete, monitoring and reporting on overdue milestones and completion billing.Monitoring and managing project cash flows, monthly monitoring and reporting on contract risks and opportunities, and implementing an effective contract/sales order close-out process including TECO 'ing of related production orders and clearing outstanding commitments.Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.Your backgroundA bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or commerce is required.Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in project controlling is preferred.Financial accounting and PS module experience in SAP is required.Must be able to work under pressure.Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
