Saab's products are sold to over 100 countries and we currently operate in over 30 countries.Your rolePrepare and maintain a project's budget and schedule, analyse progress reported against the work schedules.Prepare and participate in monthly project financial reviews with the project management team to ensure financial compliance on projects.Create optimal project budgets and prepare forecasts and cost tracking for all projects.Reside in the Business Control function reporting to Manager: Business Control.Establish and rollout the necessary framework, processes and standards to support the project financial process.Baseline projects in line with budget.Ensure that projects are accounted for in accordance with Accounting Standards (IFRS), VAT, and Income Tax Act, SA Reserve Bank Regulations and Export Control Regulations.Track and report project finance, gross margin, work in process, warranty, risk and estimated cost to complete, in cooperation with project management in accordance with Group Policy.Assist Project Management and Operations with all project related queries.Monthly reporting and reconciliation on projects.Initiate, communicate and ensure the implementation of learning and growth activities in conjunction with the line manager and Human Resources.Effective communication and cooperation with Project Management, Commercial, Marketing and Sales, and Supply Chain organization.Cooperation and assistance to External Auditors.Your profileSpecialist knowledge:Computer literate (Microsoft Office), especially Excel.Strong attention to detail.Ability to interact with various internal and external parties on various levels.Able to take ownership and responsibility for the function.Ability to work in a pressurized environment and meet deadlines.Ability to adapt to constant change.Knowledge of IFS.Previous experience in a project finance environment will be an advantage.Experience:3 – 5 years' experience in a project finance environment.Planning and scheduling.Monitoring and control.Qualification:Bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance or accounting or equivalent.Skills:Critical thinking and problem solving.Teamwork and collaboration.Professionalism and strong work ethic.Oral and written communication skills.Leadership.What you will be a part ofSGD has reinforced its position as a leading South African defence and security company, bringing capabilities including electronic warfare systems, sensor technology, training systems, avionics, security and support solutions to the African and international markets.
