Our Client in Woodmead is looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join their team.The position is a CONTRACT and requires someone available immediately Responsibility for the Financial Project Cycle and Project Management ofall events, including the efficient application of the Project AccountingSystemProject Accounting• Project Registration.
Maintain upkeep between GreatPlains/projects and NBR.• Budget Loading with supporting documents ensuring all aspectsare covered.
Ensure budgets are not exceeded with specialattention to the transfer of funds with budget.• Checking accuracy of all new budgets to final draft• Timeous and accurate billing of client invoices• Overdue Projects - query and escalation process - Co. andHospitality and Closure of projects - Co. and Hospitality -Investigate, resolve, and provide valid reasons why an event isopen 30 days after an event date.
Follow the escalation processusing Great Plains & Crystal.
Save reports in month and folderand do a comparison on a weekly basis.• Monitoring of open PO'S and projects to ensure they remainself-funding (over 45 day reports)• Monitor, resolve and follow escalation process for overdueprojects.• Follow up to ensure client recons are produced timeous,accurate and submitted for sign off.• Recognise income on projects with stipulated Gross Profitaccording to signed budget.
Responsible for recognisingrevenue for the company and Co. Continuousmeasurement of Actual vs Forecaste• Record Keeping - Co. and Hospitality - Client Budgets,Purchase Orders, Invoices and Correspondence areelectronically filed by client by Event.• Provisions - Responsible for provisions and actualammortisation of suite rental for each event as well as Co.savings on Aide Memoires etc.• Updating monthly general ledger recons and closing off projects• Co.
