Key Responsibilities: Project Financials: Manage the financials for multiple construction projects, ensuring all costs are captured, tracked, and reported accurately. Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and monitor project budgets, providing regular updates on financial performance and identifying any discrepancies or areas of concern. Cost Tracking: Oversee project cost control, ensuring all expenses (labour, materials, subcontractors, etc.) are aligned with the project budget. Invoicing & Payments: Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to clients and the processing of supplier/subcontractor payments. Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports for each project, including cost-to-complete projections and profitability analysis. Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions are compliant with internal controls, accounting standards, and legal requirements. Liaison with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, quantity surveyors, and other stakeholders to support financial decision-making and ensure seamless financial management throughout the project lifecycle. Cash Flow Management: Assist in managing cash flow for projects, ensuring all payments are made on time and that financial health is maintained throughout each phase. What Were Looking For: Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Project Accountant, ideally within the construction or building industry. Qualifications: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) would be a plus. Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Procore, etc.) and advanced Excel skills. Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, with an exceptional eye for detail in financial documentation and reporting. Strong Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams, contractors, and clients. Problem-solving: Ability to proactively identify and resolve financial discrepancies, helping ensure project budgets and financials remain on track. Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
