Purpose of the position To fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group: Curriculum Studies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules.Teaching and supervision of postgraduate M & PhD students.Study guide and material development.Personal research and support of research entity.Initiating and planning of strategic research initiatives.Community service and social responsiveness.Minimum requirements A PhD (NQF level 10) in Curriculum Studies or a similar relevant field.Previously employed in the field of Higher Education – (a minimum of 5 years' experience).Author/co-author of at least 5 research articles in accredited journals since 2019.Involvement in the supervision of master's and doctoral students (to completion).Demonstration of initiative and academic leadership.Research skills, interpersonal skills/communication, and computer literacy.ADDED ADVANTAGES & PREFERENCES: A leader of funded research projects.Involvement in NRF – funded research projects.A proven record of presenting/attending relevant national and international conferences.KEY FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES: Have a proven publication record – especially over the last 5 years.
KEY BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES: Team worker.Good interpersonal relations.REMUNERATION: The annual total remuneration package will be commensurate with the level of appointment as advertised and in line with the NWU policy guidelines.
