Job Purpose: The appointed person will be responsible for strengthening research and postgraduate capacity in the Faculty of Informatics and Design, specifically in multi- and trans-disciplinary studies between Applied Design, Architecture, and Urban and Regional Planning. The appointed person will also support faculty research initiatives by conducting research that contributes to the faculty's strategic objectives. In addition, the incumbent will still perform all the functions of academics, including teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervising students, community engagement, curriculum development, academic administration, and conducting research.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience: Minimum Requirements: Professor
- A Doctoral Degree in Applied Design/ Architecture/ Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline
- Registered with a professional body where applicable
- At least ten (10) years of teaching experience in Higher Education
- Successful supervision of doctoral and masters students to completion
- A substantial publication record in accredited journals in the last five years
- Experience in curriculum/ academic programme development (will be an added advantage)

- At least ten (10) years of university teaching experience
- Successful supervision of doctoral and masters students to completion

- Experience in curriculum/academic programme development (will be an added advantage)
