Responsibilities for Senior Lecturer include: Teaching relevant field of Commercial Law courses offered by the Department of Commercial Law as required by the Department, including service courses in Commercial Law to non-law students.
Supervising students, including at postgraduate level.
Maintaining a research profile and publication output commensurate for level of appointment.
Contributing to Faculty and Department activities and administrative responsibilities appropriate to the level of appointment.
Maintaining social responsive activities commensurate with the level of appointment.
For Associate Professor: A doctoral degree or equivalent level of scholarship in a relevant field of Commercial Law; Lecturing experience in a relevant field of Commercial Law; Demonstrable capacity and experience to supervise at a postgraduate level; A strong and consistent record of publications in a relevant field of Commercial Law appropriate to the level of Associate Professor; Evidence of academic and administrative leadership; and Strong track record of socially responsive activities, public or professional service.
For Professor: A doctoral degree or equivalent level of scholarship in a relevant field of Commercial Law; Extensive lecturing experience in a relevant field of Commercial Law; An established record of postgraduate supervision; A strong and consistent record of publications in a relevant field of Commercial Law appropriate to the level of Professor; Strong academic record and administrative leadership; and Strong track record of socially responsive activities, public or professional service.
Responsibilities for Associate Professor / Professor include: Teaching in a relevant field of Commercial Law courses offered by the Department of Commercial Law as required by the Department; Supervising graduate and postgraduate students; Maintaining a research profile and publication output commensurate for level of appointment; Contributing to Faculty and Department activities and administration responsibilities appropriate to the level of appointment; and Maintaining social responsive activities commensurate with the level of appointment.
