Joining and/or driving the research vision of the Department through an active research programme including an ability to raise research funding and supervise Honours, Masters and Doctoral students. Play a role in the administrative activities of the Department, Faculty and the university. Fulfil any other duties as assigned by the Head of Department Minimum Requirements Minimum Requirement – Professor: PhD or equivalent, in the field of Physiology Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching, in the field of Physiology (including gross anatomy, histology, embryology) A record of quality peer reviewed publications in the field of Physiology A record of successful postgraduate supervision Evidence of expertise, national standing, and definite international presence in his/her discipline. The integration of community engagement with learning and teaching and/or research Experience in generating research grants Minimum Requirements - Associate Professor: PhD or equivalent, in the field of Physiology Demonstrated experience in facilitating learning and teaching, preferably in the field of Physiology (including gross anatomy, histology, embryology) A record of quality peer reviewed publications, in the field of Physiology A record of successful postgraduate supervision The integration of community engagement with learning and teaching and/or research Evidence of expertise, national standing, and preferably an international presence in his/her discipline.
