Professional Quantity Surveyor - Construction Industry

RPO Recruitment is a leading recruitment agency specializing in finding the best candidates for our clients in the construction industry.
We are currently seeking a Professional Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team in Cape Town.
As a Professional Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of construction projects.
Your primary responsibility will be to manage the financial aspects of these projects, ensuring that costs are controlled and budgets are adhered to.
This will involve preparing estimates, monitoring project costs, and liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects Analyze and evaluate construction contracts and specifications Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate cost planning Source and review subcontractor quotes and negotiate contracts Monitor project costs and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders Oversee quantity take-offs and material procurement Ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule Requirements Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying or a related field Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software Benefits Salary: R720K/yr - R600K/yr, negotiable Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity) Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)   Contact RPO Recruitment for our next career opportunity.
