The group currently operates 50 private hospitals (excluding a growing number of day clinics) throughout South Africa and three hospitals in Namibia with more than 8 200 beds in total.MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo deliver safe, comprehensive and quality nursing care according to the Scope of PracticeKEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASDeliver quality nursing care in collaboration with a multi-professional teamIdentify, prevent and manage risks to ensure patient safetyFacilitate a positive patient experience by creating a conducive environmentProvide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventionsCreate a learning environment that builds staff competenceEnsure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately chargedRequired EducationESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Degree / Diploma in General NursingDESIRED EDUCATION: Midwifery; Post graduate certificate/ diploma in relevant specialty areaRequired ExperienceESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year post graduate qualification experience.DESIRED EXPERIENCE: 3 years' post graduate qualification experience before placement in a specialised unitRequired Job Skills And KnowledgeBasic life support trained (ACLS; ATLS; PALS training for specialised wards)Computer literate (Microsoft Office)Develop/ modify a nursing care planInfection prevention and controlNursing processes and proceduresNursing record keepingPatient assessment skillsPharmacologyRelevant nursing legislationRisk identificationScientific nursing principles and process
