Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Qualified in General Nursing Science and registered / licensed under the Nursing Act 3 years' experience in a similar role Willing to work Night Shift on a rotational basis The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: HR Management – allocate staff to daily functions; duty schedules; staff supervision; management / evaluation of care givers; remedial intervention Resident care & clinical care – investigate complaints; plan resident care; ensure meal serving; ensure satisfactory interpersonal relations Medical practitioners – ensure doctors orders are carried out; in case of emergency ensure prompt action is taken Medical management – admin/safekeeping of medication; chartering of doses Ensure record keeping meets all legal, professional and ethical requirements Infection control – infection / cross control measures; conform to infection control precautions Administration – control ward / unit admin; maintenance of equipment Stock control – ensure enough linen in stock, and repair / condemn damaged/worn linen Ensure equipment is in good condition and routinely inspected Ward hygiene – ensure workers are aware of their cleaning duties; regular inspections; liaise with maintenance dept Report defects and breakages and submit orders correctly Check pharmacy receipts and ensure drugs are kept safeguarded Risk management, H&S – ensure infection control are adhered to; manage care of residents belongings; ensure resident identification; admin of drugs / medicines; assigning ward duties Submitting statements regarding accidents or incidents Ensure staff are familiar with disaster drill and fire practice Salary: R22 555.00 per month To apply email detailed CV and supporting documentation through to
