We are seeking a Professional Nurse for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Qualified in General Nursing Science and registered / licensed under the Nursing Act3+ years' experience in a similar roleWilling to work Night Shift on a rotational basisThe successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:HR Management – allocate staff to daily functions; duty schedules; staff supervision; management / evaluation of care givers; remedial interventionResident care & clinical care – investigate complaints; plan resident care; ensure meal serving; ensure satisfactory interpersonal relationsMedical practitioners – ensure doctors orders are carried out; in case of emergency ensure prompt action is takenMedical management – admin/safekeeping of medication; chartering of dosesEnsure record keeping meets all legal, professional and ethical requirementsInfection control – infection / cross control measures; conform to infection control precautionsAdministration – control ward / unit admin; maintenance of equipmentStock control – ensure enough linen in stock, and repair / condemn damaged/worn linenEnsure equipment is in good condition and routinely inspectedWard hygiene – ensure workers are aware of their cleaning duties; regular inspections; liaise with maintenance deptReport defects and breakages and submit orders correctlyCheck pharmacy receipts and ensure drugs are kept safeguardedRisk management, H&S – ensure infection control are adhered to; manage care of residents belongings; ensure resident identification; admin of drugs / medicines; assigning ward dutiesSubmitting statements regarding accidents or incidentsEnsure staff are familiar with disaster drill and fire practiceSalary: R22 555.00 per monthTo apply email detailed CV and supporting documentation through to ****** If you have not received a response within 7 working days, please consider your application unsuccessful
