Professional Commercial Property Valuer (Retail)

A retail property group in the Northern Suburbs, Cape Town is looking for a highly motivated person with a passion for property to join the organisation, as an Internal Professional Property Valuer.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe role includes, but is not limited to the following:Performing retail property valuations monthly and ensure validity, quality, and reliability.Analysing financial, leasing and property data.Provide technical opinions and expertise to senior management.Performing NAV calculations and linked unit value calculations.Prepare property report and fund fact sheets.Review property budgets to ensure accuracy, validity, quality, and reliability.Keeping abreast of the retail property market conditions, this includes but is not limited to collecting market research.Participate and support initiatives for the achievement of the ESG strategy.Drive the process to obtain independent valuations on an annual basis for all properties.Development of strong relations with key stakeholders (consultants, brokers, legal, external valuers, etc.)Desired Experience & QualificationEssential Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate/ Property Studies/ Property Development or equivalent.Professional Associate or Professional Valuer registered with the South African Council for Property Valuers Profession (SACPVP), Membership to the South African Institute of Valuers (SAIV).Minimum 5 years' experience in Commercial Property Valuations including Retail Property Valuations.Microsoft office (Advanced Excel Skills, Outlook, Word)Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenAnalytical thinking, with a powerful sense of time management.Meticulous diligence and accuracy.Deadline driven, logical thinking with the ability to thrive in a pressured situation.Adaptable individual with a problem-solving attitude.Understanding the principles of recoveries in a retail property environment.The person should be dynamic, energetic, and filled with tenacity, integrity and out of the ordinary thinking.
