Production Supervisor

Who are we looking for? We are looking for a Production Supervisor who completed Grade 12, who has 5 years of production supervisory experience in the Steel industry and someone who has excellent communication skills. Our ideal person can resolve conflict without escalating it and who is very well-versed in computer programmes. What will this person be responsible for? Our ideal person will be responsible for - Training and development of staff - Identifying deviations, planning and implementing corrective actions to ensure attainment of the production plan. - Complying with the requirements of the protocols of the plant and the company . - OHS management - Communications with staff and the rest of the plant (meetings, reports etc) - Determining schedules, assignment work and managing the performance of assigned staff - Monitoring plant performance. - Investigating opportunities for improvement and developing, implementing, and controlling action plans to realize the improvement. - Monitoring compliance with mining standards and legislative requirements -Continuously ensure strategic involvement in area-related problems. The proverbial "cherry on the top" will be for this person to have an excellent track record of working with Unions including working with Shopstewards. Is this you?
