COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Our client is a stainless-steel manufacturer based in Centurion and they are looking for a Production Supervisor to join their team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will report directly to the Production Manager.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To supervise the employees, ensure that production targets are met, maintaining the necessary safety precautions and ensure that good quality parts are produced
Supervision of employees
Maintain and implement discipline
Ensuring all machines are utilised and production plan is followed to meet production targets
Ensure quality Assurance
Continues improvements
Implement and monitor health, safety and Environment in the plant

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Matric or equivalent
The individual must hold a Diploma in Production Management or BTech Engineering/Mechanical or a Supervisory or First Line Management Qualification

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

3 – 5 Years' experience in a supervisory position in steel a (tube making) production environment
Experience in Mills operating machines would be an advantage
Experience within the automotive will be an advantage
Working shifts and overtime
Understand the principles and have experience of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and TS 16949 standards implementation
