Learn more at www.averydennison.com.Job DescriptionABOUT YOUR ROLE:The incumbent is responsible to oversee all reporting staff whilst ensuring that the Operational, Health and Safety & Quality requirements and continuous improvement standards are adhered to. The incumbent's job purpose is not limited to the abovementioned. People Leadership: Providing functional leadership in relation to Slitting Operators, Material handlers, Operations clerks, dispatch operation as well as assistant operators to upgrade talent in technical excellence and process improvement.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:OPERATIONAL FUNCTIONS:DISPATCH FUNCTIONSEnsure that daily delivery targets are metEnsure correct labeling and packaging of the finished productEnsure that the correct procedure for handling deliveries is adhered to in respect of:The necessary quality checks have been done on selected consignmentsThe correct documentation is issuedEnsure Transport Management System is consistently followedReconciliation of system versus actual deliveries dailyCustomer claims and collections completed according to Salesforce procedureSTOCK CONTROLManage consumables for daily consumptionEnsure that the correct procedure for handling raw materials is adhered to in respect of:ConsumptionReturn to rack locationMonitor and control master roll and slit stock by:Accurate cycle counts on an at least monthly basisInvestigations done on inventory deviations, and the necessary supporting corrective action in terms of adjustments and investigations completed.Effectively control scrap:Implement a plan to re-evaluate products in hold and defect locations continuouslyEnsure scrap product is correctly and responsibly disposed off when necessaryManaging drivers and vehiclesEnsuring vehicle licensing, driver's licenses and PDP renewals are in orderEnsure that all vehicles are serviced as per vehicle specificationEnsure that all vehicles are cleaned weeklyEnsure daily inspections on delivery vehicles and forklifts. Report any deviations on the condition of the vehicles or equipment and action any repairsPRODUCTIVITY:Ensure that daily production targets are metEnsure that slitter utilization is maximizedEnsure that manpower is optimally deployedContinuously search for opportunities to increase productivity in conjunction with the Automated Recording System for Finishing SystemQUALITY ASSURANCE:Ensuring product quality standards are upheldCorrective action in respect of discrepancies or non-conformancesCoordinate with the Dispatch Supervisor to oversee the final product qualityInvestigate customer complaints or product concerns and rectify the issues effectivelyELS:Actively identifying continuous improvement opportunities and implementations thereof.Proactively identifying and implementing manufacturing operational expenses reductions.Continuous focus on 5S.EHS:Zero tolerance approach on basic PPE complianceEnsure that all Company Safety policies are adhered to at all timesConstant Focus on reporting and corrective action on near misses, unsafe acts/conditions and behaviorsOngoing focus on safety improvementsKEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED FOR ROLE:Aligning Performance for SuccessBuilding PartnershipCoachingCustomer FocusDecision-MakingFacilitating changeInitiating ActionManaging conflictPlanning and OrganizingWHAT WE WILL BE LOOKING FOR IN YOU:Through knowledge and understanding of operations procedures and processes.Computer Literacy- Microsoft office suite (Excel – Essential)Warehouse Inventory Managements system experience (E.g.
