The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing production processes, managing plant staff, and ensuring that our feed production meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
This role requires a strong leader who is physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing full production shifts, operating and maintaining machinery, and enforcing health and safety procedures.
If you are ready for a challenging but rewarding role in feed production, we encourage you to apply!Minimum Requirements:Degree or Diploma in AgricultureMinimum of 2 years' experience as a Production supervisor in a Feeding MillExperience in working with production software and systemsAbility to operate heavy machinery, ascend and descend the plant/feed mill, and perform physically demanding tasksProven experience in managing staff, with strong people management skillsAbility to work on a rotating shift system, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidaysMust have normal colour vision, be in good health without epilepsy, and be comfortable working at heightsExcellent communication and team management skillsStrong problem-solving abilities and attention to detailCommitment to health and safety standards in the workplaceAbility to work independently and handle responsibility for shift productionOwn transport is preferable due to the location and shift hoursPreferably based near Delmas or willing to relocate with own accommodation arrangementsDuties and Responsibilities:Oversee the production of animal feed at the feed mill, ensuring efficiency and quality controlManage and operate complex production systems and programs (training will be provided)Lead and manage a team of plant workers and casual staff during assigned shiftsEnsure the proper maintenance and operation of heavy machinery, including forkliftsManage full production shifts, including night shifts and weekends, as part of a rotating shift systemEnforce strict adherence to Health and Safety protocols at the plantSupervise the loading and unloading of productsReport regularly to the Shift Manager regarding production progress and any issuesPrint product labels and ensure proper labelling of feed batchesPlease do not apply using Scanned CVs, no supporting documentation is required at this point, this will be requested later.IMPORTANT: We specialize in specific niche fields.
