Production Superintendent

RPO Recruitment is seeking a Production Superintendent for a prominent mining company located in Mpumalanga. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing daily production operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards, and driving efficiencies within the production processes.Responsibilities:Implementing and managing resource plans for areas of responsibility and communicating monthly and weekly production targets; and monitoring and offering technical guidance to Supervisors to ensure the safe delivery of production targetsManaging resource capability, allocation, utilisation and driving productivity to deliver the targetsMeasuring the performance of Supervisors, providing guidance and coaching through the implementation of good standards and best practiceEnsuring adherence to Legislation, Policies, Procedures, Standards and Operating Procedures in areas of responsibilityEngaging relevant stakeholders to solve operational problems in areas of responsibility as necessaryTracking previous truck and shovel / dragline performance and changes in geological conditions when designing plans together with the Mining Engineer and signing off on the plansAccepting truck and shovel / dragline areas from other mining teamsOverseeing and ensuring that preparations and block standards are correctMeasuring and reporting on actual versus planned to the Mining Engineer (depth and location) and reporting on any deviationsRequirements:Surface Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines OR Degree in Mining Engineering and Surface Blasting CertificateMinimum of 5 years' experience at a Production Supervisor Level in the mining industryDemonstrable knowledge of mining production techniques and methodologiesStrong leadership and team management capabilitiesIn-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in performance management systems and production reportingBenefits:Salary: NegotiableFamily Leave (Maternity, Paternity)Paid Time Off (PTO) (if applicable)RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
