These jobs were popular with other job seekersOur Mining client in the Northern Cape is sourcing for a Mining Professional to join their production team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResponsibility: Health, Safety and EnvironmentComplies with the Mine Health and Safety Act as well as company policies and procedures Production Assists with the drawing up of business strategy and budget formulation Ensure optimal production of mining and plant Achieve productivity targets Cost Ensure correct allocation of resources e.g., labour and equipment Allocate/withhold funds as dictated by operational requirements Labour management Define labour structure and ensure vacancies are filled within reasonable time Review subordinates' performances quarterly according to their respective KPIs Approval and monitor of overtime in maintenance department based on Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) requirement Manage leave schedule. Desired Experience & QualificationNational Diploma or B. Degree in Mining Opencast Blasting CertificateAt least 5-10 years' experience in open cast mining environment of which at least 2 years was at Production Manager level. Must have proven experience with opencast production & maintenance Medical FitnessThorough experience in drilling, blasting, loading, hauling and pit dewatering Candidates must have a valid driver's license Excellent verbal and written communication in English Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines as determined by the supervisor Must possess basic problem solving, basic self-managementPackage & RemunerationMarket RelatedThese jobs were popular with other job seekers
