Production Planner

This role requires a detail-oriented individual with experience in mechanical engineering production planning and a deep understanding of the manufacturing and fabrication processes for industrial systems.Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Scheduling:Develop, implement, and monitor production schedules based on customer orders, project deadlines, and resource availability.Coordinate with design, procurement, and manufacturing teams to ensure timely execution of plans.Material and Resource Planning:Analyse material requirements and liaise with the procurement team to ensure the availability of components and raw materials.Collaborate with suppliers on project-related procurement to ensure timely delivery and alignment with production schedules.Optimize resource utilization, including labour, equipment, and space, to improve productivity and minimize downtime.Supplier Coordination:Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to address any potential delays or shortages.Work with suppliers to ensure quality standards and adherence to project timelines.Provide feedback to the procurement team on supplier performance and opportunities for improvement.Workflow Management:Oversee daily production activities and adjust schedules to address changes in demand, machine breakdowns, or supply chain disruptions.Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to maintain smooth operations.Quality Assurance Coordination:Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure all systems meet engineering standards and client specifications.Address production issues impacting quality or delivery timelines.Cross-Departmental Collaboration:Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to align production schedules with project milestonesAct as the main point of contact for production-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field would be an advantage.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing or fabrication environment.Out client is an equal opportunity employer
