Production Planner

Position:Production Planner

Hire Resolves client is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join their team in Pinetown, KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will have experience in production planning, inventory management, and scheduling in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and maximise production efficiency
Monitor production processes and make adjustments as needed to ensure on-time delivery of products
Analyse production data and trends to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components
Maintain accurate inventory records and track production levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on production plans and schedules
Provide regular updates on production status, performance, and issues to management

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production planning in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in ERP systems and production scheduling software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
