Production Planner

Our client in the Textile Manufacturing industry is seeking a skilled Production Planner to join their team. This pivotal role focuses on organizing production according to demand and quality standards, ensuring goods are produced on time and distributed profitably. Responsibilities:Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimal delays.Determine the necessary manpower, equipment, and raw materials to meet production demands.Assign workers and other staff to specific production operations.Schedule shifts according to production needs.Monitor jobs to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.Address issues promptly to minimize disruptions.Obtain and analyze output information (e.g., number of finished products, percentage of defects).Prepare and submit status and performance reports.Keep paperwork organized and up-to-date.Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff.Requirements:Proven experience as a production planner.Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles.Experience with MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning).Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.Strong skills in math and statistics.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication skills.Grade 12 qualification.Further education or certification is preferred.Benefits:Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.Convenient location in Cape Town.
