Production Metallurgist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Metallurgist to join our team in a plant environment in Burgersfort, Limpopo. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metallurgy or chemical engineering, with specific experience in chrome plant operations. Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in the mining industry is essential for this role.Responsibilities:- Oversee and manage the metallurgical processes in the plant- Ensure the quality and efficiency of production operations- Develop and implement process improvements to optimize performance- Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety regulationsSkills and Abilities:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines- Attention to detail and accuracy- Strong leadership and team management skillsRequirements:- National Diploma/BSc/BTech in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering- Relevant Certificate of Competence- Post Graduate Qualification will be advantageous- 3-5 years of Chrome Plant experience- 3-5 years of Metallurgical Experience- Knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, Mining Regulations and Mining Legislation- Physical Requirement of Medical Certificate of CompetenceIf you meet the above requirements and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity in the mining industry, we encourage you to apply for this position.
