Production Manager - Wine Grapes

Our client, located in theSomerset-Westarea, and who develops and manages 185 hectares of winegrapes for various farming entities, has currently an opportunity available for aProduction Managerto join their team.The successful candidate will be exceptionally self-driven, organized, and capable of functioning well under pressure. Additionally, he should have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to be able to manage an existing team of 10 Team leaders. The successful candidate will report directly to the Managing Director of the company and assume responsibility for overseeing all production aspects of the wine farms. This includes ensuring the cultivation of high-quality grapes. Additionally, he will play a crucial role in providing technical training to the team to achieve exceptional product quality.Requirements:Grade 12 certificateA relevant tertiary education qualification will be beneficial3-5 years experience in Table- and/or Wine grapes productionExcellent managerial and results-orientated mindsetThe ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and adapt at handling multiple tasks simultaneouslyResponsible and detail-orientated approachShould be effective in short and medium planningKeen eye for neatness and precisionCommencement date: 1 August 2024 or soon thereafterClosing date of applications: 28 June 2024A market-related remuneration package will be offered with a farm vehicle, cellphone allowance and a bonus, based on merit.However, its important to note that the company does not provide housing.
