As Production Manager you'll be responsible for various essential tasks including setting and meeting budgets, finding cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring compliance to quality standards. Prepare for and manage food safety audits, while effectively managing raw materials and packaging availability. The role also involves budgeting for CAPEX requirements and overseeing production OPEX. Furthermore, you'll oversee stock takes, maintain accurate records, lead and manage the production team, handle HR and IR related matters, and ensure timely maintenance of production equipment.
If you have 5+ years of experience in production management, with a preference for expertise in chilled products such as meats and dairy products, you could be the perfect fit for this position! You should also be able to demonstrate previous exposure to food safety management systems, preferably with knowledge of FSSC22000. We need an individual with a track record of setting and meeting budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimising resources. Proficiency in daily production scheduling and ensuring adherence to quality standards is essential, along with experience in preparing for and managing food safety audits. Familiarity with CAPEX and OPEX management, including budgeting for assets required for production, is highly desirable. You should possess excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a production team. Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on MS Excel, and knowledge of ERP systems is expected.
