Duties & ResponsibilitiesDefine, propose, implement, manage and execute the production strategy, budget and planPropose, plan and manage CAPEX investments based on analysis of future capacity needsManage all expenses in the production department to budgetResponsible for ensuring that production schedules are met on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly and annual basis in line with the Sales and Operations plan.Manage the different teams within the production department and ensure that plans and targets are met, the teams are properly staffed and that proper leave planning is doneCreate and implement all approved organizational/production changes on an operative levelManage logistics of raw materials used in production (WIP)Cost management of products / item archiving/ exceeding planned marginsReduce reworks, wastages and scrapReport on all production outputs and key performance indicators (KPIs) related to the production departmentEnsure booked versus paid labour hours are accounted forDevelop and implement continuous improvement initiatives and do root cause analysis of all production slowdowns and report on these. Implement corrective actions as definedEnsure strict adherence to the Quality Management SystemAccountable for Health and Safety for all work areas and employees on duty. Manage and support the SHEQ initiatives and objectives and ensure implementation thereof in the area of responsibilityAccountable for managing the performance of all employees on dutyAssist with developing standards times for various componentsManage and oversee the maintenance departmentExecute any other reasonable instruction form Managing Director that might be given from time to time.As part of DBS SA Management Team, you are required to contribute to the bigger management of DBS SA by supporting all KPIs as defined for the Management TeamAdhere to all Company policies and proceduresDesired Experience & QualificationMechanical or Industrial engineering Degree essential.10 years experience in OEM manufacturing needed.Good understanding of CNC Lathes, Conventional, Slotting, Planning and Millling machines.Understanding of PM and TPM practices.Understanding of SHEQ legal liabilities and requirements.Experience in an engineering and manufacturing environment needed.Package & RemunerationR1.6M CTCIncluding Medical Aid and Provident Fund.Petrol card.Incentive Bonus.
