Groenkloof Citrus is a leading packer of citrus for the export market.
The company has a packhouse in the Citrusdal/Clanwilliam area.
Due to continued growth, we require the services of a Production Manager The successful candidate will be based at Citrusdal, approximately 175km from Cape Town.
The designated candidate will have to take responsibility during his/her shift for the total citrus packing line from receipt to dispatch including the degreening function and will report to the Packhouse Manager.
The key performance areas of the position include the following: Effectively plans, coordinates and manages shifts, all resources, equipment and quality to achieve production targets and specified packing instructions.
Manage operational efficiency to limit delays and minimize downtime Management and optimal utilization of permanent and seasonal workforce.
Maintenance of good labor relations as well as the training and coaching of staff Ensures that a high level of quality, safety and hygiene standards are maintained and that the team complies with standard operating procedures and health and safety regulations Maintain production records and statistics for accurate reporting Inventory management We are looking for people who have at least 3 years of experience in the above aspects in a supervisory capacity within a fruit packing environment and who meet the following specific requirements: At least grade 12, but a post-school qualification in agricultural or production management will serve as a recommendation Extraordinary interpersonal skills to be able to communicate with clients, colleagues and subordinates to maintain good relationships A mechanical and electronic equipment mindset Demonstrated understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards Error identification and tracking abilities Above average computer literacy and skill Ability to use provide guidance to subordinates Persons who are of the opinion that they meet the requirements set for the position and possess the necessary qualifications are welcome to send their applications in the form of a complete CV before or on 24 January 2025 to the address below.
