Minimum Requirements:Grade 12Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Food Technology, or a related fieldCertification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt) would be advantageous5-8 years in Production Management role within food manufacturing or FMCG industryGood working knowledge of ERP SystemsExperience with budget and cost saving initiativesDuties and Responsibilities:Plan, organize, and manage production schedules to meet customer demands and business objectivesImplement and sustain lean manufacturing processes to boost efficiency and reduce wasteEnsure adherence to industry-specific quality, safety, and environmental standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001)Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, yield, and costsLead, mentor, and develop production teams to achieve operational excellence and foster employee engagementCollaborate with procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams to optimize supply chain and production flowManage production budgets and ensure cost control without compromising quality or safety standardsDrive continuous improvement initiatives and cultivate a culture of innovationOversee equipment maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiencyIdentify and mitigate production-related risks to ensure uninterrupted business operationsEnsure compliance with South African labor laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policiesPrepare and present regular reports to senior management on production performance and improvement opportunitiesPLEASE NOTE: Thank you for your interest in this position, we will review and be in touch if you are suitable.
