Production Manager

NDC Personnel & Contractors is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Manager to lead and optimise production operations at a manufacturer in the Eastern Cape.
In this critical role, you will oversee the entire manufacturing process, ensuring that production equipment, processes, and resources are utilized effectively to meet schedules while maintaining top-quality and safety standards. You will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, enhance machine throughput, and minimise waste, ensuring year-on-year operational efficiency. Additionally, you will lead the production team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure superior performance and compliance with legislative and safety standards. Experience in production management is essential.
Key Responsibilities: Managing overall manufacturing activities. Controlling costs and ensuring process efficiencies to deliver high-quality output. Ensuring full adherence to quality management systems and proactively addressing quality concerns. Managing costs effectively, identifying areas for improvement, and contributing to long-term asset planning. Championing safety in production by continuously identifying and mitigating risks to foster a safe and productive working environment.
