This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with a proven track record in strawberry production and a dedication to achieving excellence.What you'll do:From the ground up: Develop and establish a 10-hectare soil strawberry project within strict deadlines, laying the foundation for future expansion. (Think meticulous planning and high standards!)Master of water: Execute on precision irrigation using loggers, ensuring optimal water usage and a healthy crop. (Here, a keen eye for plant needs is a must!)Feed the future: Accurately apply a fertigation regime throughout the season, utilizing plant sampling and nutrient trending to maximize plant performance.Pest control pro: Manage scouts and an IPM monitoring system, implementing preventative biological and chemical sprays to minimize yield loss.Keep it tidy: Maintain a well-organized farm environment by controlling weeds and ensuring proper road and drainage management.Budget wizard: Craft and manage your own production budget, then exceed expectations through efficient resource allocation.Who you are:Hold a BTech or Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or Plant Science.Have a minimum of 3 years' experience successfully growing vegetables or strawberries in soil.Possess 5+ years of senior management experience within the agricultural sector.Bring hands-on experience with soil irrigation to the table.Have a strong understanding of basic plant physiology, entomology (insects), and pathology (plant diseases).
