Job Description:Oversee the implementation of production schedules to meet customer demands and coordinate with other departmentsAllocate resources efficiently, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to maximize productivityMonitor and adjust production workflows, address bottlenecks, and conduct root cause analysis to resolve issuesFocus on process improvement to reduce costs and optimize efficiency, while maintaining inventory control to minimize wasteEnsure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols, and maintain accurate production recordsLead, motivate, train, and monitor team members, ensuring quality issues are reported immediatelyConduct regular performance reviews, encourage ongoing improvement, and foster a positive, collaborative work environmentProvide hands-on training and ensure the teams output meets company quality standardsUphold health and safety standards, ensuring safe working practices and reporting hazards or incidents promptlyEnsure compliance with food safety principles and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in line with the Food Safety Management System (FSMS)Manage all reports and administrative tasks related to the role and serve as a role model for the team, embodying company principles and values Skills & Experience: 5 Years' experience in a Production Manager role in plastic Manufacturing industryStrong knowledge of plastic manufacturing processesProficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelPeople management and leadership skillsExcellent organizational and planning abilitiesStrong problem-solving capabilitiesEffective verbal and written communication skillsHigh attention to detailSound decision-making skillsAbility to work well under pressureHigh emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillsEmotional resilience in challenging situationsMinimum requirements:Grade 12NQF 6 Production Management / Operations ManagementMinimum 5 years experience in a Production Manager rolein the manufacturing industry Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
