This role demands a proactive leader capable of optimizing resources and fostering a safe, productive work environment.Key Responsibilities: Production Planning and Management:Develop and implement production schedules, balancing efficiency with customer demands.Supervise the manufacturing processes, ensuring all products meet quality and performance standards.Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to maintain smooth operations.Monitor and adjust production activities to meet deadlines and budget constraints.Costing and Budget Management:Analyze production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement effective measures.Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to track and manage inventory and material costs.Prepare and manage departmental budgets to meet financial targets.Rubber and Material Expertise:Oversee rubber mixing, molding, curing, and finishing processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.Evaluate and implement new materials or technologies to improve product quality and reduce costs.Time Management and Efficiency:Monitor and minimize downtime by optimizing equipment usage and workforce allocation.Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality or safety.Leadership and Team Development:Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.Conduct regular training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.Promote workplace safety by enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the rubber and engineering industry.Strong knowledge of rubber processing techniques, material properties, and industry standards.Proven experience in cost analysis, budget control, and resource allocation.Exceptional time management and organizational skills.Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems.Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.Hands-on experience with specialized rubber manufacturing equipment and tools.Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
